Listening for song titles
On November 2, 2022 I stopped by Seven C Music in St. Petersburg, Florida to pick up a guitar that my friend Hunter Allen had done some work on. Hunter is a master guitar technician who honed his craft while living in Nashville working for Gus Glaser. He is also a songwriter, performer, and now published author with his book called Confessions Of A Barefoot Luthier. While I was checking out the guitar he suggested that there might be a song inside somewhere. I had never written anything using this guitar, so when I got home I sat down with it just to see if he was right. This is the song that slipped out.....Thanks Hunter! I recorded a quick guitar/vocal demo on my phone and sent it to him. On November 3. 2022 I put together a better recording using ProTools at Mellow Yellow Sound in Gulfport. I recorded a rough track, then went back and laid down separate tracks of acoustic guitar, vocal, brushed snare, bass & lap steel.
On November 5, 2022 I made a rough live video for YouTube.
